Study announcement s1896: Registration for and withdrawal from winter exams 2024/2025
Period of registration: 15/10 2024 - 1/11 2024
Period of withdrawal: 15/10 2024 – 15/11 2024
Deadline for withdrawal: 15/11 2024
Starting Tuesday, October 15 you can register for and withdraw from winter exams. You register for and withdraw from exams on DTU Inside under “Toolbox / Exam Registration”.
You are automatically registered for the exam in the courses you have been signed up for during the 13-week period. You must register for all other exams and re-exams via www.tilmelding.dtu.dk. From October 15th, you can also check which exams you are registered for on this website.
If you do not wish to take the exam in winter 2024 for a course in which you have been enrolled during the 13-week period, you must withdraw from the exam yourself. You can only withdraw via www.tilmelding.dtu.dk. Please note that if you do not withdraw from the exam on time, it will count as a used exam attempt, and you will be bound to the course. Read more below.
Deadline for withdrawal and binding courses
The deadline for withdrawal from examinations is November 15, 2023.
If you not withdraw from your first exam attempt in a course before the deadline, the course registration is binding, you use an exam attempt and the course becomes part of your programme specification. You must hence pass the course to complete the programme.
You can apply for an exemption to be released from the exam registration if special circumstances exist, cf. the current exemption rules. Once an exam attempt has been used in a course, you will only be released from the course in exceptional cases if there are and can be documented special circumstances that are directly related to the course. Find the exemption rules at DTU Inside under ‘Study rules’ / ‘Exemption’.
Please also note the following:
- You cannot participate in an exam if you are not registered for the exam.
- You are not automatically registered for a reexam. Therefore, you must register for and withdraw from any subsequent second or third exam attempt yourself within the current deadlines.
- If you have withdrawn from your first exam attempt in a course, you must register for a new exam in the course. If you wish to take the course again, you must register for the course once more and you will thereby automatically be registered for the exam.
- You must register for the exam yourself if you have not been registered for the course in the Studu Planner, but only been added to a DTU group or have only been added to a DTU Learn group.
- All approved course registrations for the 13-week period are automatically transferred to exam registrations when the post-registration period for teaching has expired. All other exam registrations are your responsibility.
You can read more about the rules concerning registration and withdrawal at DTU Inside under ‘Study rules’ / ‘Exam’ / ‘Registration and withdrawal’.
