Students Culture Hub
Creating an inclusive campus for everyone
DTU Student’s Culture Hub aims to celebrate diversity, create an inclusive campus, and combat loneliness. We do this by organizing a range of out-of-the-ordinary activities. We celebrate events such as Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead), Holi, Chinese New Year, and various other cultural events (including Danish traditions and holidays). We host fun activities that bring people together, such as DTU Cheese Rolling, DTU Comic Con, Open Jam Stage, and many more. You can join one or more of our four community groups: DTU Amateur Theatre Community, DTU Table Top Role Playing Community, DTU Community Garden, and DTU Fiber Arts, where we ensure an inclusive environment and a cozy, supportive atmosphere.
All our activities are conducted in English to create an inclusive setting where everyone can participate. Do you have an idea for an event? You can also talk to us about how we can bring it to life. Who are we?
Students Culture Hub is a project launched by DTU’s International Student Services and Office of International Education, with support from the European Solidarity Corps (ESC). Managed by a DTU Supervisor and four ESC-volunteer interns, the team develops initiatives to enhance campus life for both Danish and international students. SCH seeks to promote community building, intercultural awareness, and diversity on campus. A passionate and diverse team of volunteers, orchestrated by the SCH, are the driving force behind the hub’s events and activities, making the campus a melting pot of cultures and ideas.
Our goal?
Students Culture Hub, a unique initiative, enriches campus life by creating diverse events and activities. Student's Culture Hub co-creates inclusive community groups with students, serving as a bridge for connecting students, fostering diversity, encouraging understanding and curiosity of our fellow human beings, as well as advocating for supportive and inclusive environments.
Want to join one of our communities?
- DTU ACT: Join us in an informal theater troupe where we learn about acting, improvisational theater, and much much more! At the end of each semester, we perform a play or ensemble that we choose together, as a group.
- DTU Table Top Role Playing: Are you familiar with Dungeons and Dragons? Maybe you’ve never heard of it before, and that’s completely okay! This group aims to learn how to play tabletop role-playing games together.
- DTU Community Garden: A green thumb is not necessary to join our community garden. Here, we grow vegetables, tend to and expand an English Garden, and practice permaculture. You can be a part of it all by joining us!
- DTU Fibre Arts: Do you want to learn how to knit? Can you already knit and just want someone to do it with? Then DTU Fibre Arts is for you!
