Report accidents and near-miss incidents
Accidents and near-miss incidents related to your studies at DTU must be reported using the DTU Injury system. Read below to learn how to do this.
If you experience an accident or a near-miss incident while studying at DTU, you are required to report it via the DTU Injury system. A near-miss incident refers to a situation where something almost went wrong. These reports help DTU prevent similar incidents in the future.
How to Report an Accident or Near-Miss Incident
1. Download the DTU Injury App
You can download DTU Injury from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Report the incident in DTU Injury
When reporting an accident or near-miss, you must provide the location of the incident, a brief description, and you may attach up to three photos. DTU Injury is available in both Danish and English.
3. Complete the accident report
After submitting your report, you will receive a digital report and/or analysis which you are required to complete and return to the sender.
Reporting through DTU Injury is the first step in managing accidents or near-miss incidents at DTU.
When should you report an incident?
All incidents - whether minor or serious - should be reported, regardless of whether you believe it was your fault. The key aim is to prevent similar accidents from occurring again.
Near-miss incidents are just as important to report, as they highlight potential hazards that DTU can address before they result in actual accidents.
