GREEN CHALLENGE creates value for students and for DTU
The annual student conference GREEN CHALLENGE will take place on June 27, 2025, at DTU Skylab. Here, the work on sustainable initiatives in DTU's education culminates, as students present their sustainable study project or idea for a project within social, economic, or environmental sustainability.
On the day, more than 80 projects will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to approximately 25 judging panels consisting of industry professionals, politicians, students, and faculty members. It is a day where students showcase their creative innovation skills and drive, demonstrating that engineers are indeed key players in making the world more sustainable.
But for it to be a success again this year, we need great sustainable ideas from all directions and educational levels.
GREEN CHALLENGE is a collective effort
As a lecturer, you can encourage students to participate in GREEN CHALLENGE. We know from experience that a push from a lecturer or supervisor makes a difference!
As a course coordinator for a course that allows students to create or prepare a project for participation in DTU’s student conference GREEN CHALLENGE, you can help guide them in the right direction by listening to their ideas and encouraging participation. The registration deadline is May 12th, 2025, but it is already a good idea to start considering the sustainability aspect.
Feel free to talk to your network of partners, colleagues, and other universities to spread the word about the opportunity at GREEN CHALLENGE.
A unique opportunity for students
There are many great reasons to participate in GREEN CHALLENGE. Students gain experience in turning visions into feasible, sustainable solutions. They get practical experience in communication. They receive high-quality feedback and mentoring from industry professionals, politicians, and peers at DTU, and they build a broad network and gain relevant experience for their CV.
What does it take?
To participate, students must, as part of their education or course, have developed a project that supports sustainable development or helps solve challenges within social, economic, and environmental sustainability. There is flexibility in how students approach solving the problem, as long as they can demonstrate a sustainable perspective.
Who can participate?
All DTU diploma engineering, bachelor, and master’s students can participate. Both DTU students and guest students are welcome. The registration deadline is May 12th, 2025.
Where and when?
The student conference will be held on June 27, 2025, at DTU Skylab on DTU Lyngby Campus.
