Dear all at DTU

The holidays are coming to an end for most people, and who wouldn’t want to cherish the good memories from that time?

From previous years, we know that some enjoy bringing a bit of summer spirit to work with barbecues and bonfires. There’s nothing wrong with that, but please be aware that we’ve updated the rules for activities involving open flames.

A brief overview of the new rules:

• Clarification that permission must be obtained for barbecues, bonfires, and burning each time the activity takes place (to prevent the fire from spreading).
• Clarifications regarding escape routes and gas barbecues.
• New information about disposable barbecues.
• References and sources.
