Participate with MSc thesis - possible benefits of amplification for normal hearing tinnitus patients.

the test is done is Danish so participants should be danish native

The study aims to understand how hearing aids with mild amplification can help patients with tinnitus even if they do not have a hearing loss.

The project runs for 6 weeks from the first appointment. There will be a total of 3 visits, each lasting between two to three hours. The appointments involve questionnaires, hearing tests and speech perception tests. The tests will be performed while you try different hearing aid settings.

The study requires you to borrow hearing aids from us and wear hearing aids for 6 weeks. The hearing aids will be tested with two different settings. You will try each setting for 3 weeks. The first setting will be used during the first appointment. Three weeks later we will meet again and the second setting will be programmed on your hearing aids. We will have a third and final appointment 3 weeks later to take some hearing measurements and return the hearing aids.

You are offered a compensation of approximately 140 DKK/hour for your participation. You will only be paid for the hours spent in the lab, not the total 6 weeks of time.
