Study announcement s1888: Registration for and withdrawal from the summer exams 2024

Period of registration: 1/4 2024 – 15/4 2024
Period of withdrawal: 15/4 2024 – 1/5 2024 NOTE – The withdrawal period is longer than the registration period
Deadline for withdrawal: 1/5 2024

Starting Monday, April 1 you can register for and withdraw from the summer exams and the reexams in May. You register for and withdraw from exams on DTU Inside under “Toolbox / Exam Registration”.

You are automatically registered for the exam in the courses you have been signed up for during the 13-week period. You can find an overview of your exam registrations on DTU Inside under “Toolbox / Exam Registration”.

During the period for registration, you can register for exams/re-exams in courses that you have not registered for already. You can check whether you are registered for the exams at www.tilmelding.dtu.dk

If you want to be registered for a re-exam, you must register for the exam using the same link as for the ordinary registration.

If you do not want to attend the exam in a course in the summer of 2024, which you have been enrolled in during the 13-week period, you must withdraw from the exam. You can only withdraw via the exam registration and withdrawal system. Please note that if you do not withdraw from the exam in time, you will be bound to the course.

Deadline for withdrawal and binding courses
The deadline for withdrawal from examinations is May 1, 2024 via www.tilmelding.dtu.dk.

If you do not withdraw from your first exam attempt in a course before the deadline, the course registration is binding, you use an exam attempt, and the course becomes part of your study plan. You must hence pass the course to complete the programme.

You can apply for an exemption from the withdrawal deadline for the exam if special circumstances exist, cf. the current exemption rules. Only exceptionally can a student be released from a course once there has been registered an exam attempt in a course if there are and can be documented very special circumstances. Find the exemption rules at DTU Inside under ‘Study rules’ / ‘Exemption’.

Please also note the following:

  • You cannot participate in an exam if you are not registered.
  • You must register for and withdraw from any subsequent second or more exam attempt within the current deadlines.
  • If you have withdrawn from your first exam attempt in a course, you must register for a new exam in the course unless you register for the course once more.
  • You must register for the exam yourself if you have only been added to a DTU Learn group.
  • All approved course registrations for the 13-week period are automatically transferred to exam registrations when the post-registration period has expired. All other exam registrations are your responsibility.

You can read more about the rules concerning registration and withdrawal at DTU Inside under ‘Study rules’ / ‘Exam’ / ‘Registration and withdrawal’.
