Teaching facilities

Classrooms and lecture theatres at DTU Ballerup Campus live up to the highest standards, and in the modern laboratories and experimental halls on campus, students get to work with machines, experimental setups and equipment.

The campus area includes a robotics laboratory, a high-voltage laboratory and a workshop hall, and in the Prototype Workshop students work around the clock with 3D printers and laser cutters, among other things.

Library

The DTU Library department at Ballerup Campus is centrally located in a round three-storey tower. In addition to access to the library's literature - printed and electronic - the library offers a number of facilities, such as study spaces, lending of study rooms, laptops and e-book readers. At the library you can also print, copy and scan.

Canteen

Ballerup Campus has a canteen, a kiosk and a point of sale where you can buy food, snacks and drinks at student-friendly prices.

Bookshop

In the Polyteknisk Boghandel at DTU Ballerup Campus you can buy textbooks, non-fiction and study books.

As a student, you get a 10% discount on your purchases at Polyteknisk Boghandel.

Disability-friendly building

DTU Ballerup Campus is designed to make it possible to get around everywhere, even if you are in a wheelchair.

Social and leisure

DTU Ballerup Campus has a great study environment with good opportunities to participate in leisure activities and social events. On campus you will find, among other things:

  • Elektronik Klubben Ballerup
  • Fitness centre
  • Running and cycling paths in Sømosen just outside campus
  • Music practice room with vocal equipment, amplifiers, drum sets etc.
  • S-Huset, the Polytechnic Association's premises, a gathering place for students
  • Student café Verners Kælder with table football and soft sofas, among other things
  • Beer Brewers Association with its own brewing facilities

DesignBuildLab - laboratories and workshops

The workshop and laboratory facilities at DTU Ballerup Campus are - after a short safety course - open to all students around the clock, every day of the year. The facilities cover all areas from concrete to plastics, robotics, electronics and health and have an extensive 600 m2 prototype lab with 3D printers and laser cutters, among other things.

Transport

DTU Ballerup Campus is a 10-minute walk from Malmparken Station, and buses run directly to the campus. Line 40E runs directly between Ballerup Campus and Lyngby Campus in about 30 minutes.

If you are travelling by bike, you can park in the bicycle basement, where there is also a bicycle pump and shower facilities.
