EuroTeQ Collider

Join the EuroTeQ Collider innovation programme and gain hands-on experience with innovation, entrepreneurship, and project work in an international setting. Throughout the programme, you collaborate with students from partner universities across Europe and receive academic guidance and coaching from DTU experts, industry partners, and European collaborators.

Meet Thit and Flora, who competed against other European students in the international competition EuroTeQaThon in Eindhoven in spring 2025.

What is EuroTeQ Collider?

EuroTeQ Collider is an innovative programme integrated into selected DTU courses. The programme follows a structured innovation process where you work on transforming ideas into concrete concepts and solutions within waste and resource management.

You will apply user-centred methods and test your concepts in dialogue with relevant stakeholders.

The programme culminates in the development of a product that you and your team can submit to the international competition EuroTeQaThon, where you pitch your solution and compete against other European technical universities.

What will you gain from participating in EuroTeQ Collider?

  • Skills in innovation, development, and entrepreneurship
  • Guidance and feedback from experienced and highly qualified lecturers
  • Experience working within a structured innovation process
  • Knowledge, experience and expertise exchange across European borders
  • An international network of students, companies, and professionals.

EuroTeQ Collider – Step by Step

You automatically participate in EuroTeQ Collider when enrolled in one of the following DTU courses:

During the EuroTeQ Collider programme, you will develop a product that you and your team can submit to the international competition EuroTeQaThon. Here, you pitch your solution and compete against teams from other European technical universities.

DTU sends three teams to EuroTeQaThon. These teams are selected at the DTU Selection Event.

How to apply for EuroTeQaThon

  • Describe your project in a two-pager summarizing the idea, approach, and results (use the template below).
  • Submit your two-pager via the sign-up link.

Selection process

All submitted projects proceed to the DTU Selection Event. Here, three teams are selected and awarded a fully funded place at EuroTeQaThon.

The three teams representing DTU at EuroTeQaThon will be announced on 18 May during the DTU Selection Event qualification round.

After applying for EuroTeQaThon, your team must compete in the DTU Selection Event, which serves as DTU’s qualification round for EuroTeQaThon.

Each team pitches its concept to a jury, which evaluates the projects based on criteria such as level of innovation, societal relevance, technical feasibility, and the quality of the team’s collaboration process.

At the DTU Selection Event, three teams are selected to represent DTU at the international EuroTeQaThon competition alongside finalists from seven other European technical universities.

In 2026, the DTU Selection Event takes place on 18 May from 5 pm to 8 pm at DTU Skylab.

EuroTeQaThon is the final international competition and concluding event of the EuroTeQ Collider programme. Finalist teams from the European partner universities in the EuroTeQ alliance present their solutions to real societal and industry challenges.

The final is hosted over three days and rotates between partner universities.

In 2026, EuroTeQaThon will take place at DTU from 13–15 June.

During the event, participating teams receive professional feedback, take part in networking activities, and join workshops.

On the final day, all finalists pitch their project solutions to an international jury consisting of representatives from industry, academia, and the public sector. The jury selects winners from different categories, with various prizes awarded.

The winning teams are recognized for their ability to combine engineering excellence with societal relevance, and all participants become part of a European network of students focused on innovation and impact.

One of the prizes at EuroTeQaThon is a fully funded place at the IESE Bootcamp.

The IESE Bootcamp is an intensive learning programme focused on strengthening entrepreneurship and innovation skills.

The bootcamp is hosted by IESE Business School in Barcelona and brings together teams from leading business and technical universities across Europe for an immersive learning experience led by faculty and industry experts.

As a participant, you will work with key themes such as value creation, customer insight, impact-driven business development, and presentation techniques. The programme combines lectures, practical team-based work, and targeted mentoring.

The purpose is to further develop the strategic foundation of the projects, refine the concepts, and prepare participants for the next stages of development.

The IESE Bootcamp strengthens both individual projects and cross-border, cross-disciplinary collaboration, while contributing to an international network of students focused on innovation and impact.
