Exam certificate/diploma
When you graduate from DTU, you will receive an exam certificate/diploma. If you graduated after 15 June 2023, you will receive a digital diploma.
When you graduate from DTU, DTU will issue you with a digital diploma (applies to students who graduate after 15 June 2023).
You can access your digital diploma via www.diplomasafe.com within eight weeks of graduation.
The diploma is the documentation that shows you are a graduate of Technical University of Denmark (DTU). The diploma will consist of:
- Front page with description of the digital diploma
- Grade transcript
- Competence profile
- Diploma supplement
- Congratulatory letter
- Wall diploma
When and how do I get my diploma?
You will receive an email to your student email when your diploma is ready. In your email, there will be instructions on how to access your digital.
We strive to prepare your diploma as soon as possible. However, during busy periods, there may be a waiting time of up to ten weeks before you can access your diploma.
The Examination Order sets the deadline for when the universities must make the diplomas available at the latest. See the Examination Order (only available in Danish).
Validity of my diploma
Your digital diploma includes a unique QR code. The QR code serves as a verification link that confirms the authenticity of your diploma.
If the link is removed from the certificate, it will no longer serve as valid documentation of your degree and results from DTU.
How do I share or grant access to my diploma?
In the Diplomasafe platform, you can choose to grant time-limited access to your diploma to third parties. That could include, for example, a future employer.
Time-limited access can be granted by following these steps:
- Select the specific documents that the third-party should be able to view.
- Choose the duration during which the documents will be visible to the third party.
- Provide the relevant email addresses where the access link should be shared.
Can I get a physical diploma?
A physical diploma with the DTU emblem can be purchased additionally for a fee of DKK 500. Use the purchase button in the Diplomasafe platform.
For students who graduated before 15 June 2023
If you graduated from DTU before 15 June 2023, you will have received a physical diploma by post.
If you have lost your diploma, you can order a copy by writing to the Study Administration at verification@adm.dtu.dk.
