As a student at DTU, you must have a valid student ID card.
Your student ID card is your:
proof of identity at exams, when contacting AUS, and when you are on campus
an access card to DTU buildings outside regular opening hours.
an access card to DTU's data bars.
Your student ID card is personal, and you may not pass it on to others.
How to order a student ID card
For new students:
Upload a picture of yourself to DTUBasen (DTU's register of all students and employees at DTU). Log in using the same credentials you use for DTU’s other digital platforms.
If you experience repeated issues uploading your photo, contact Arcanic Support via dtu@arcanicsupport.dk.
Once you upload your picture to DTUBasen, a student ID card will automatically be ordered for you. In rare cases, the card status may appear as “In production queue” and not seem to progress. If this happens, contact CAS directly via DTU’s Service Portal, and they will ensure the card moves forward in the process.
Once the card is produced, it will be delivered to the Study Administration in building 101 at Lyngby Campus, from where it will be sent to the address you have registered in DTU’s student administrative system. If you have a foreign address, or no address is registered in the system, you will receive an email on your student email from the Study Administration with instructions on where to collect your card.
If you are an international student, your card will instead be delivered to International Student Services, and they will contact you by email so you can collect it in building 101 at Lyngby Campus.
Once you have received your student ID card, you must activate it on Pace.
For current students:
Order your student ID card via Pace. You log in to the page with your DTU-login.

Have you lost your student ID card?
If you lose your student ID card, you must report the card as "Lost" in Pace under "Access passes". A new card will not be produced until three days have passed. If the card is found, it can be activated again within three days. This will stop the production of a new card.
Are you missing access?
If you are missing access to one or more rooms that are not part of the standard access on your student ID card, you must apply for access via Pace.
Please also note that at Ballerup Campus your card must be updated regularly.
General support
In general, if you have issues with your student ID, you must contact CAS via DTU’s Service Portal. That applies, for example, to challenges with access rights and card functionality (PIN code, new card, defective card, etc.).

Apply for extended access with your student ID card
Your student ID card gives you automatic access to a large number of buildings at DTU. If you require access to a building that you do not currently have access to, you can apply for it.
