SPS during exchange

If you are going on exchange, the types of support granted through the SPS scheme will typically remain the same as those provided during your studies at DTU.

The condition for bringing your SPS with you on exchange is that your stay must be approved as part of your Danish degree programme at DTU.

  • You can bring your IT assistive tools, such as IntoWords and Nota, with you.
  • Online meetings with your reading/writing advisor can continue during your stay. We recommend talking to your advisor before your exchange begins.
  • Support sessions (e.g. with a counsellor, academic support teacher og a study mentor) can continue online during your exchange stay.
  • We recommend talking to your counsellor before your exchange begins.
  • If you receive support such as practical support, sign language interpreter, or note-taking assistance, arrangements during an exchange stay may be more complex.
  • The level of support abroad must not exceed the financial level granted for your studies in Denmark.
  • Please contact the SPS unit well in advance to discuss your options.

Special examination arrangements

Special examination conditions (e.g. extra time) must be applied for at your host university.
In most cases, documentation in the form of an English statement describing your approved arrangements at DTU will be sufficient. Please contact the SPS unit to obtain this documentation.

Educational accommodations

If you require educational adjustments during lectures/classes, you should contact your host university directly. The SPS unit can provide documentation describing your needs if required.
