As soon as you have been admitted to DTU and have accepted your place, you can apply for SPS through DTU’s SPS portal.
Note! The SPS enquiry portal is closed due to maintenance on Sunday, 4 January 2026, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The process for applying for and establishing SPS is as follows:
Create an application on DTU’s SPS portal(The portal works best in Microsoft Edge)
Log in with your DTU credentials. In the application, briefly describe your challenges and support needs, and upload the necessary documentation. You can also apply for special examination conditions through the portal.
DTU’s SPS unit applies for SPS on your behalf Once we have received your application on the portal, we will submit the SPS application to the Danish Agency for Education and Quality (STUK). You must give your consent within 30 days via e-Boks/Digital Post for the application to be processed.
Decision regarding SPS You will receive notification via e-Boks/Digital Post once STUK has processed your application.
DTU’s SPS unit initiates the approved support You will be contacted by the relevant support provider.
For new students: Once you are admitted to DTU, you can submit an application in the portal as soon as you have received your DTU student number. Your username for the SPS portal is your student number. New students can order a password via UnistartDTU.

Do you need to grant the power of attorney?
The power of attorney allows the SPS unit to speak on your behalf if the person you authorize contacts us directly. If needed, we can provide you with a template for granting power of attorney.
