Study announcement s1904: Registration for 13-week period fall 2025

Deadlines for registration for and withdrawal from 13-week courses
Registration period: 8/7 2025 – 5/8 2025
Supplementary registration period: 23/8 2025 – 1/10 2025
Deadline for withdrawal: 1/10 2025
Registration and withdrawal
You should register for courses using the Study Planner no later than 5/8 2025 at 11.59 pm if you wish to register for courses within the ordinary registration period, including courses with lottery and participation limitations.
Please be aware of the following:
- If a course spans two semesters, you should only register for the first part. Your registration will automatically be transferred to the second semester.
- You can find an overview of your approved course registrations in your study plan. When you register for courses, you can print a receipt of your registrations. You can use the receipt, a screenshot of your study plan or the log from you study plan as documentation for your registrations.
If you are unable to register for courses using the Study Planner before the deadline, you must contact the Study Administration. Please note that the Study Administration will handle all rejected course registrations from August 6th to 11th.
You are responsible for registering for and withdrawing from courses within the deadlines yourself.
Study activity requirements
You are responsible for complying with DTU’s deadlines, including the deadlines for the First-year Exam and the maximum duration of your study programme, through your course registrations.

Registration for several courses within the same timetable group
We encourage you to register for only one course in each timetable group, so we ensure there is room for everyone. Please note that if the classes are scheduled in the same timetable group, the exams will also be scheduled at the same time.

Cancelled courses and waiting lists for fully booked courses
The list showing cancelled, closed and fully booked courses will be available on student.dtu.dk (se link above) from 21/8 2025. The list will be updated continuously with any cancellations of courses and with the waiting lists for courses determined by drawing lots.
If you have registered for a course that is cancelled, you can register for another course during the supplementary registration period, if there is room.
All lot drawings will be finished by 19/8 2025.
- "Plads" means your place on the course is guaranteed.
- “Tabt lodtrækning” means you have lost the draw.
- “Venteliste” means you are on a waiting list and you may get a place on the course if some of the participants on the course do not attend the first lesson.
If you have lost the lost drawing you will notified by email no later than 21/8 2025.
If you have been given a place on course with a waiting list, but you do not attend the first lesson and you have not received a written permission from the lecturer to attend late, your place will be given to the student present who has the lowest number on the waiting list.

Supplementary course registration period
If you have not registered for a 13-week course before the registration period ends, the Study Planner will be open for supplementary registration for courses with vacant places from 23/8 2025 to 1/10 2025. You are only allowed to register for a course with limited admission if you have a written agreement with the lecturer that it is approved. You must send the agreement to the Study Administration from your student email.
Where do the lessons take place?
You can find a room plan for the 13-week period at student.dtu.dk. The room plan will be updated with the 13-week period one week before the teaching period begins.
If you are enrolled in the programme Biomedical Engineering, please note that there is no supplementary registration period for the courses held at Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (UCPH).
