FAQ
Who can apply for the festival courses?
Everyone doing an undergraduate or a graduate program at DTU can create a project for Roskilde Festival or become a part of a festival course.
When do I have to register for the festival courses?
You can register for project courses during the entire semester, but if you are doing a festival course in the 3-week period in June, you will have to register before the deadline, which you can find at DTU Inside.
Can I register for a festival course and another course in the 3-week period?
No. You can only register for one course in the 3-week period.
Can I use my own project idea?
Yes. If you have a good idea for a project, follow the guide on how to apply: Apply with a project
Do you have to do the Roskilde projects in a particular part of the semester?
There is a lot of freedom regarding deadlines for the execution of the projects. The period and the amount of time you have to spend depends on the topic of the project and its extent, as well as your supervisor.
When should the project work be completed?
It depends on the project. Some groups start on the project and complete it during the Spring semester and the 3-week period in June; others need to collect data at the Roskilde Festival, whereas the project will not be completed until after the festival. In the last case, a deadline is agreed upon by you and your supervisor.
Is it possible to have a festival course in the 3-week periods in January, July or August?
Yes, by agreement with the project coordinators and your supervisor.
How do I figure out what Roskilde Festival wants?
Have a look at Roskilde Festival's webpage. New updates are made regularly about new initiatives and themes, which are used as a point of reference. You can find more information on the web page of the festival.
