Who can receive special educational support, SPS?
As a student, you are eligible for special educational support if you have documentation for one or more of the following disabilities:
- Dyslexia (literacy problems)
- Psychological diagnoses
- Neurological diagnoses
- Visual impairment
- Hearing impairment
- Physical disability
- Chronic or serious illness
- Dyscalculia (mathematical disability)
In principle, you can only receive SPS if you have a documented disability, but funds can also be allocated for assessment, for example, in cases of well-founded suspicion of dyslexia and dyscalculia.
General terms for receiving SPS
- You must suffer from an impairment that prevents you from completing your study programme on equal terms with other students.
- You must be a full-degree student with documented disability,
- You must be a Danish citizen, be covered by an international agreement like, for example EU or EEA citizen, or rank alongside a Danish citizen.
