Other support options
In addition to SPS, there may be other services and options that could be relevant for you. We have gathered a brief overview below:
Option to study part-time
For some students, it may be necessary to study part-time, meaning taking fewer than 30 ECTS credits per semester. If you are considering this, you can contact the Study Guidance, which can help you with planning your studies. Please note that taking fewer credits per semester may mean you do not meet the activity requirement for receiving SU (student grant).
Adjustments in lectures/classes
If you need adjustments in lectures/classes, we encourage you to contact your lecturer. This could, for example, be receiving PowerPoint slides well in advance or needing to sit in a specific place in the classroom.
Please note that adjustments are not always possible. In some courses, group work, physical presence, or lab work may be essential for meeting the learning objectives.
Therefore, when choosing elective courses, it may be a good idea to check the course description and discuss potential adjustments with the lecturer beforehand.
If you find it difficult to contact the lecturer yourself, feel free to contact the SPS Unit. We can help communicate your challenges and support needs to the lecturer.
